Sec. 81.206. GENERAL RIGHTS RELATING TO TREATMENT. A person receiving health services under this subchapter has the right to: (1) appropriate treatment for the person's illness in an appropriate setting consistent with the protection of the person and the community; (2) not receive unnecessary or excessive medication; (3) refuse to participate in a research program; and (4) a humane treatment environment that provides reasonable protection from harm and appropriate privacy for personal needs.
