Patient Rights Policies

Sec. 845.202. PATIENT RIGHTS POLICIES. It is intended that the system incorporate patient-focused considerations that include: (1) open communication; (2) informed consent; (3) protection of confidentiality and privacy; (4) full disclosure of program policies and procedures to patients and providers; (5) coverage of emergency care; (6) disclosure of compensation arrangements with providers; and (7) efficient appeal of coverage decisions.
