Authority Constabulary

Sec. 8513.0328. AUTHORITY CONSTABULARY. (a) The authority may constitute and maintain an independent constabulary. (b) A constabulary constituted under this section is subject to the oath and bond requirements of a county sheriff under Section 85.001, Local Government Code. (c) A constabulary shall police authority property and facilities controlled by the authority. (d) A constabulary may make arrests: (1) to prevent injury to authority property and facilities controlled by the authority or for a violation of a penal ordinance of the authority; and (2) inside or outside the authority, upon complaint or indictment for a violation of a penal ordinance of the authority.
