Sec. 86.027. CIVIL SUIT AND CRIMINAL PROSECUTION PERMISSIBLE. The pendency or determination of a civil action brought under this chapter or a criminal prosecution for the same violation does not bar the other action. Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 923, Sec. 5, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
