Sec. 146.024. AUTHORITY WITH WHOM DECLARATION FILED. A declaration of write-in candidacy must be filed with: (1) the secretary of state, for a statewide or district office; or (2) the county judge, for a county or precinct office. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, Sec. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1986.
