Claim Against Bond

Sec. 392.102. CLAIM AGAINST BOND. A person who claims against a bond for a violation of this chapter may maintain an action against the third-party debt collector or credit bureau and against the surety. The aggregate liability of the surety to all persons damaged by a violation of this chapter may not exceed the amount of the bond. Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1008, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
