Sec. 51.311. SPECIAL DEPUTY DISTRICT CLERK IN LUBBOCK AND NUECES COUNTIES. (a) In Lubbock and Nueces counties, the district clerk shall appoint, at the request of a district judge, a special deputy district clerk to serve that judge's court. (b) The salary of a special deputy clerk appointed under this section shall be paid out of the general fund of the county. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 480, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985.
