Best Practices

Sec. 1901.151. BEST PRACTICES. (a) The commissioner shall adopt best practices for risk management and loss control that may be used by for-profit and not-for-profit nursing homes. (b) In developing or amending the best practices, the commissioner shall consult with the Health and Human Services Commission and a task force appointed by the commissioner. (c) The task force must be composed of representatives of: (1) insurers that write professional liability insurance for nursing homes; (2) the Texas Medical Liability Insurance Underwriting Association; (3) nursing homes; and (4) consumers.
