Sec. 141.006. POLICE OFFICERS IN TYPE A GENERAL-LAW MUNICIPALITY. The governing body of a Type A general-law municipality shall set the compensation, including any fees of office, for the municipal police officers and watchmen. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
