Sec. 324.043. COMPENSATION AND REIMBURSEMENT. A board member is not entitled to compensation but is entitled to reimbursement for necessary expenses, including travel expenses, incurred in performing the duties of a board member. A board member's reimbursement for necessary expenses, in excess of $250, shall be approved by the commissioners court. A board member's approved expense account shall be paid in due time by the board's check or warrant. Added by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1, Sec. 71(a), eff. Aug. 28, 1989.
