Sec. 134.051. PERMIT REQUIRED FOR OPERATION. A person may not conduct a surface coal mining operation in this state without first obtaining a permit for that operation from the commission under this chapter. Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 76, Sec. 12.02(a), eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
