Sec. 8128.109. MAINTENANCE TAX APPROVAL FOR NEW DISTRICT. A new district may impose a maintenance tax on the approval of a majority of the residents voting in an election called and held for that purpose. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 445 (S.B. 1823), Sec. 1, eff. September 1, 2005.
