Applicability of Other Law

Sec. 8888.005. APPLICABILITY OF OTHER LAW. (a) This chapter prevails over any inconsistent provision of general law. (b) This chapter does not prevail over or preempt a provision of Chapter 8801 of this code or Chapter 36, Water Code, that is being implemented by the subsidence district. (c) The following laws do not apply to the authority: (1) Chapter 36, Water Code; (2) Section 49.052, Water Code; and (3) Sections 49.451-49.455, Water Code.
