Sec. 62.301. DUTIES OF COMMISSION OF ANNEXED DISTRICT. If a district proposes to annex an adjacent district, the commission of the district proposed to be annexed shall: (1) conduct the hearing; (2) order the election; (3) canvass the returns of the election; and (4) perform the other duties and procedures provided in Sections 62.292-62.299 of this code.
