20A-14-104.1. State Board of Education -- Candidacy.
(1) A person interested in becoming a candidate for the office of State Board of Education member shall: file a declaration of candidacy in accordance with Sectionsand; 20A-9-201 20A-9-202 file a certificate of nomination in accordance with Sections,, and; or 20A-9-501 20A-9-502 20A-9-503 seek placement on the ballot as a write-in candidate in accordance with Sectionsand. 20A-9-601 20A-9-602
(2) The office of State Board of Education member may be filled by an individual running as a member of a political party, as unaffiliated, or as a write-in candidate.
