20A-5a-209. Certification of state candidates for regular general election -- Ballot propositions -- Display on ballot.
(1) On or before the last business day in August of an even-numbered year, the lieutenant governor shall: publish for the state, as a class A notice under Section, for 30 calendar days, the notice described in Subsection; and 63G-30-102 (2) transmit to each county clerk the notice described in Subsection; or (2) transmit the portion of the notice described in Subsectionthat relates to a particular county to the county clerk for that county. (2) The notice required under Subsection: (1) shall list the names of all candidates who are qualified for placement on the regular general election ballot for a county, by office, for the following offices: a federal office; a statewide constitutional office; state senator; state representative; and State Board of Education member; shall, in accordance with Sectionsand, include instructions on how the names of candidates will appear on the primary election ballot; and 20A-6-109 20A-6-110 shall include information on statewide ballot propositions that have qualified for placement on the ballot.
(3) The names shall be certified by the lieutenant governor and shall be displayed on the ballot as they are provided on the candidate's declaration of candidacy. No other names may appear on the ballot as affiliated with, endorsed by, or nominated by any other registered political party, political party, or other political group.
