26B-4-1003. Requirements for certain treatments for inmates.
(1) The department may not initiate any of the following procedures or treatments for an inmate: a cross-sex hormone treatment; a primary sex characteristic surgical procedure; or a secondary sex characteristic surgical procedure.
(2) Subject to Subsectionand Section, to treat an inmate's gender dysphoria and any co-occurring mental health disorder, the department may provide psychotherapy, mental health care, or any other necessary and appropriate treatment. (1) 63-14-45
