41-1a-1204. Automobile driver education fee -- Amount -- When paid -- Exception.
(1) Each year there is levied and shall be paid to the commission the automobile driver education fee.
(2) Except as provided in Subsectionsand, the fee is $2.50 upon each motor vehicle to be registered for a one-year registration period. (2)(b) (c) The fee is $2.00 upon each motor vehicle to be registered under Sectionfor a six-month registration period. 41-1a-215.5 The following registrations are exempt from the fee in Subsectionor: (2)(a) (b) a motorcycle registration; and a registration of a vehicle with a Purple Heart special group license plate issued: on or before December 31, 2023; or in accordance with. (3) For a vehicle registered for a 24-month period as provided in Section, the fee amounts are double the amounts due for a 12-month registration of the same vehicle. 41-1a-215.5
