53H-1-205. Board Member Qualifications.
(1) The board shall develop qualifications for the composition of the board to ensure that combined, the board members have: a range of experience, including experience in industry; varied areas of expertise; and varied geographic representation.
(2) In developing the qualifications, the board shall consider: expertise in: business or industry; technical education; general education; and advanced education and research; geographic representation; and knowledge or experience in a field including: finance; accounting or auditing; law; facilities or real estate; educational delivery models; workforce development; economic development; kindergarten through grade 12 education; and educational quality assessment.
(3) The board shall consult with the governor to develop the qualifications described in this section.
