57-4a-3. Document recordable without acknowledgment -- Exception.
(1) A document or a certified copy of a document may be recorded without acknowledgment if the document: was executed under law existing at the time of execution; evidences or affects title to real property; and was issued under the authority of: the United States, another state, a court of record, a foreign government, or an Indian tribe; or the state or a political subdivision of the state and the document: was executed on or before July 1, 1988; or has affixed the Great Seal in accordance with Subsection. 67-1a-2(1)(f)
(2) Except as provided in Subsection, a document or a certified copy of a document executed under the authority of the state or a political subdivision of the state may not be recorded unless it includes a certificate of acknowledgment or jurat. (1)(c)(ii)
