58-91-305. Identification of constables -- Uniform requirements.
(1) An individual licensed as a constable shall: carry a copy of the individual's license on the individual's person at all times while acting as a constable; and display the license upon the request of a peace officer, a representative of the division, or a member of the public.
(2) While performing a duty within the scope of practice of a constable, as described in Section, a constable shall prominently display a visible form of credentials and identification identifying: 58-91-301 the individual as a constable; the individual's name; and the governmental contracting entity for which the constable is acting, if applicable.
(3) If a constable serves process, the constable shall: verbally communicate to the person being served that the constable is a constable; and print on the first page of each document served: the constable's name and identification as a constable; the county for which the constable is appointed; and a business phone number for the constable.
(4) If a constable wears a uniform, the uniform shall be clearly marked with the word "constable" on the uniform shirt and, if applicable, the jacket.
