64-13-51. Drug abuse and trafficking unit.
(1) The department shall create a drug abuse and trafficking unit within the department.
(2) The drug abuse and trafficking unit created in Subsectionshall: (1) develop and implement strategies to combat drug abuse and trafficking by: offenders within correctional facilities and under the department's supervision; and individuals working directly with, or in connection with, offenders within correctional facilities or under the department's supervision; and enhance collaboration and information sharing between the department and law enforcement agencies throughout the state to combat drug abuse and trafficking by the individuals listed in Subsectionsand (ii).
