70A-12a-102. Definitions.
(1) In this chapter: "Adjustment date" means July 1, 2025, or the date that is one year after May 6, 2026, whichever is later. "Article 12" means Chapter 12, Uniform Commercial Code - Controllable Electronic Records. "Article 12 property" means a controllable account, controllable electronic record, or controllable payment intangible.
(2) The following definitions in other chapters of this title apply to this chapter: "Controllable account," Section. 70A-9a-102 "Controllable electronic record," Section. 70A-12-102 "Controllable payment intangible," Section. 70A-9a-102 "Electronic money," Section. 70A-9a-102 "Financing statement," Section. 70A-9a-102
(3) Chapter 1a, Uniform Commercial Code - General Provisions, contains general definitions and principles of construction and interpretation applicable throughout this chapter.
