72-19-302. Duties of the broadband center.
(1) The broadband center shall: establish an application process by which an eligible applicant may apply for a grant under this part, which application shall include: a declaration, signed under penalty of perjury, that the application is complete, true, and correct; and an acknowledgment that the eligible applicant is subject to audit; establish a method for the broadband center to determine which eligible applicants qualify to receive a grant; establish a formula to award grant funds; and report the information described in Subsectionsthroughto the director of the Division of Finance. (2) Subject to appropriation, the broadband center shall: collect applications for grant funds from eligible applicants; determine which applicants qualify for receiving a grant; and award the grant funds in accordance with the process established under Subsectionand in accordance with Section. (1) 72-19-301
(3) The department, in coordination with the broadband center, may make rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, to administer the grant program.
