76-11-213. Parent or guardian providing a firearm to a violent minor.
(1) Terms defined in Sections,, andapply to this section. 76-1-101.5 76-11-101 76-11-201
(2) An actor is guilty of a parent or guardian providing a firearm to a violent minor if: the actor intentionally or knowingly provides a firearm to, or permits the possession of a firearm by, a minor; the minor is the actor's biological or adopted child or the actor is the legal guardian of the minor; and the minor has previously been: convicted of a violent felony; or adjudicated in juvenile court for an offense which would constitute a violent felony if the minor were an adult.
(3) A violation of Subsectionis: (2) a class A misdemeanor upon the first offense; and a third degree felony for each subsequent offense.
