81-2-301. Definitions for part.
As used in this part:
(1) "County clerk" means: the county clerk of the county; or an employee or designee of the county clerk who is authorized to issue marriage licenses or solemnize marriages.
(2) "Judge or magistrate of the United States" means: a justice of the United States Supreme Court; a judge of a court of appeals; a judge of a district court; a judge of any court created by an act of Congress, the judges of which are entitled to hold office during good behavior; a judge of a bankruptcy court; a judge of a tax court; or a United States magistrate.
(3) "Minor" means an individual who is 16 or 17 years old.
(4) "Native American spiritual advisor" means an individual who: leads, instructs, or facilitates a Native American religious ceremony or service or provides religious counseling; and is recognized as a spiritual advisor by a federally recognized Native American tribe. "Native American spiritual advisor" includes a sweat lodge leader, medicine person, traditional religious practitioner, or holy man or woman. "Military chaplain" means an individual who is a commissioned officer of: the Chaplain Corps of the United States Army; the Chaplain Corps of the United States Navy, including the United States Coast Guard; or the United States Air Force designated for duty as a chaplain.
