§ 2. Purpose
The District is created and shall exist for the purpose of providing for the efficient, economical, and environmentally sound resource recovery, waste reduction, recycling, or disposal of solid waste generated by member municipalities and their residents. (Amended 2017, No. M-1, § 1.)
