Restated law enforcement officers' and firefighters' defined benefit retirement fund.

(1) The restated law enforcement officers' and firefighters' defined benefit retirement fund is created in the custody of the state treasurer. The fund shall consist of assets transferred from the Washington law enforcement officers' and firefighters' system plan 1 retirement fund, investment earnings, and other amounts deposited to the fund.(2) Expenditures from the restated law enforcement officers' and firefighters' defined benefit retirement fund may be used only for the purposes of this chapter. Only the director of retirement systems or the director's designee may authorize expenditures from the fund.
