Ferry service between Port Townsend and Keystone—Purpose.

The purpose of RCW 47.60.282 and 47.60.283 is to provide service on the ferry route between Port Townsend and Keystone to be determined by the department. Operation of this route is necessary for the economic health, safety, and welfare of the people of the state. Additionally, state operation of this route will further benefit the people of the state by providing better access to important installations maintained by the United States Navy and the United States Coast Guard.[ 1984 c 7 s 324; 1972 ex.s. c 44 s 2.]
