Release of excess to debtor.

Whenever any person, firm, corporation, association, political subdivision or department of the state has in its possession earnings, deposits, accounts, or balances in excess of the amount of the debt claimed by the department, such person, firm, corporation, association, political subdivision or department of the state may, without liability under this chapter, release said excess to the debtor.[ 1979 ex.s. c 171 s 7; 1971 ex.s. c 164 s 11.]Notes:Severability—1979 ex.s. c 171: See note following RCW 74.20.300.
