Montana Renewables is a converted Calumet petroleum refinery in Great Falls, Montana that became North America's largest SAF producer, backed by a $1.44B U.S. Department of Energy loan guarantee (closed January 2025). At full MaxSAF capacity it's expected to make roughly half of all North American SAF and ~12% of global SAF through 2030.
