Xinfengming's polyester staple fiber (PSF) output serves apparel batting and stuffing (clothing/home textile supply chain), but PSF is also the feedstock for nonwoven fabrics used in baby diapers, adult incontinence products, and feminine hygiene products. Diaper and hygiene product manufacturers (Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark) source PSF-based nonwoven cover stock from the same Zhejiang polyester region that supplies fashion apparel fiber. A regional disruption affecting the Tongxiang polyester cluster would simultaneously impact fast fashion, home furnishings fill, and the hygiene products supply chain — three entirely separate FMCG categories with a common but unrecognized geographic origin.

Xinfengming Group was founded in 2000 in Zhouquan, Tongxiang, Zhejiang — within a few kilometers of Tongkun Group (the world's largest polyester producer). The co-location of Tongkun, Xinfengming, and several other large polyester companies in Tongxiang created the world's most concentrated single-geography polyester cluster. This geographic concentration arose because Zhejiang's entrepreneurial culture, proximity to Shanghai capital markets, and pre-existing textile traditions made the area hospitable to successive waves of polyester investment through the 2000s-2010s.
