Facility
Cargill Meat Solutions — Dodge City, Kansas (Beef)
One of the largest beef processing plants in the United States. Located in southwest Kansas cattle country — one of the world's densest cattle feeding regions (the Texas-Oklahoma-Kansas 'feedlot corridor'). Cargill invested $48M in a distribution system upgrade in 2013. A COVID-related closure in April 2020 contributed to the temporary 13% drop in US beef processing capacity during the pandemic.
