Comilog Moanda Manganese Mine (Gabon)

Comilog (Compagnie Minière de l'Ogooué) manganese mine in Moanda, Gabon; operational since 1960; produces >70% of Gabon's ~10M tonne annual manganese output. High-grade ore (45-50% Mn content). Gabon government imposed ban on export of unrefined manganese ore effective January 1, 2029 — forcing local beneficiation. Eramet expanding Okouma deposit (opened 2023) to add 10M tpa capacity.
