Diamond Green Diesel Norco LA Plant (Darling-Valero JV)

Diamond Green Diesel LLC (50/50 JV: Darling Ingredients + Valero Energy) renewable diesel refinery in Norco LA. Capacity ~700 million gallons/year renewable diesel (post 2022 expansion). Uses rendered animal fats, used cooking oil, and distillers corn oil as feedstock. Same fat stream that used to be a low-value rendering by-product is now premium renewable fuels feedstock, bidding up fat prices and compressing protein meal margins.
