Elkem Silicones' primary European manufacturing site in Genay, near Lyon (Métropole de Lyon, Ain department). Formerly Bluestar Silicones' main French production base, now Elkem Silicones after the 2018 acquisition. Produces silicone polymers, personal care dimethicone grades, and specialty silicone elastomers. Lyon has been a center of the French chemical industry (Rhodia, Arkema) historically.
