Eversource Energy LNG Peak-Shaving Facility (Connecticut)

Eversource Energy (Hartford, CT; formerly Northeast Utilities) operates LNG peak-shaving facilities in Connecticut for winter supplemental gas supply. Eversource sold its Everett LNG import terminal to New Fortress Energy in 2020 but retains utility-owned peak-shaving LNG storage assets in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Connecticut LNG peak-shaving is critical backup when Iroquois Gas Transmission (the main CT pipeline) faces constraints.
