Founded 1922; processes imported crude SiC into precision grains and powders. Developed RECOSiC, the world's first industrial SiC recycling process. Germany's USGS capacity of 35,000 t/yr reflects multiple companies including ESK-SIC plus Saint-Gobain legacy operations. Acquired by Schunk Group in 2025.
