Gerresheimer AG primary glass pharmaceutical packaging facility in Wackersdorf, Bavaria, Germany. Produces Type I borosilicate glass vials, ampoules, and prefillable syringes. Wackersdorf is Gerresheimer's largest European glass plant and one of Germany's major pharmaceutical glass manufacturing hubs. The Wackersdorf industrial zone was previously a proposed German nuclear reprocessing site (abandoned 1989 after protests) before being redeveloped for industrial manufacturing including Gerresheimer's pharma glass operations.
