Indena's Milan and Settala (Lombardy) facilities produce 10-deacetylbaccatin III (10-DAB) and paclitaxel API via semi-synthesis from European yew (Taxus baccata) needle clippings sourced from European yew plantations. Also produces docetaxel, vincristine, vinblastine, and artemisinin from botanical sources. Indena's Milan operation is the largest European botanical pharmaceutical extract manufacturing site.
