KLK OLEO Pasir Gudang Oleochemical Complex (Johor)
KLK OLEO's primary fatty acid and fatty alcohol manufacturing complex in Pasir Gudang Industrial Zone, Johor Bahru. The Pasir Gudang complex is one of the largest integrated oleochemical parks in the world — KLK OLEO operates multiple plants here producing fatty acids (C12-C18 stream), fatty alcohols (C12/C14/C16/C18), methyl esters, glycerol, and specialty oleochemical derivatives. C12 (lauric acid) and C14 (myristic acid) are fractionated from the palm kernel oil fatty acid stream by distillation. The Pasir Gudang industrial zone is uniquely concentrated: KLK OLEO, IOI Oleo, Emery, and Stepan all operate plants within this ~5 km² industrial zone — creating a geographic concentration of global oleochemical production unmatched anywhere else on earth.
