MACOM's primary compound semiconductor fabrication facility in Lowell MA (legacy Microwave Associates / M/A-COM heritage). Produces GaAs and InP MMICs for defense, satellite, and high-frequency telecommunications. DoD Trusted Foundry qualified for classified military compound semiconductor programs. One of the most historically significant US defense microwave electronics facilities — traces lineage to the Cold War-era defense electronics ecosystem of Greater Boston/Route 128.
