Momentive Performance Materials Waterford Plant
Momentive's Waterford, New York facility is one of the oldest continuous silicone manufacturing sites in the world — opened by General Electric in 1947, making it nearly as old as Dow Corning's Midland campus. The plant produces dimethicone fluids, amodimethicone, and silicone intermediates for personal care, industrial, and electronics applications. Waterford is approximately 15 miles north of Albany NY on the Hudson River. The plant represents the 'GE silicone heritage' lineage — independent of the Dow/Wacker/Shin-Etsu chemistry traditions.
