Northvolt's primary factory in Skellefteå, northern Sweden; begun 2020, target 60 GWh capacity. Achieved ~1 GWh/yr actual production before bankruptcy filing (November 2024). Located for access to Swedish hydropower (low-carbon electricity) and proximity to Boliden's mining/smelting operations. Factory remains operational under bankruptcy protection as restructuring proceeds.
