The Birtley site (formerly domnick hunter filtration) produces pharmaceutical-grade PVDF and PES sterilizing membrane filters for European biopharmaceutical customers. Parker acquired domnick hunter in 2008 (£150M) to enter the pharmaceutical filtration market, gaining the Birtley manufacturing site and regulatory filings. The UK location provides Parker's European pharmaceutical customers with EU/UK GMP compliant sterilizing filter supply and extractables/leachables documentation packages necessary for regulatory submissions.
