Sumitomo Chemical's sole DL-methionine facility; ~250,000 MT/year after 2018 expansion (+100,000 MT/yr new line, completion ceremony October 2018). One of the largest single capital investments ever at Ehime Works. Sumitomo is the #3 global DL-methionine producer by capacity at ~13% global market share. Niihama is a legacy chemical complex with facilities dating to the 1930s.
