One of the world's largest mancozeb production sites. Vapi is one of India's largest industrial chemical zones (~18,000 total industrial workers in GIDC Vapi estate). UPL's Vapi complex exports to over 130 countries. GIDC Vapi has had historical environmental compliance issues (Damanganga river pollution incidents).
