Wilmar Singapore Jurong Island Refinery Complex
Wilmar International's Singapore refinery and oleochemical complex on Jurong Island is the operational nerve center of the world's largest palm oil trading and processing network. Wilmar's Jurong Island facilities include crude palm oil refining, oleochemical manufacturing, biodiesel production, and specialty fats fractionation. Jurong Island is Singapore's petrochemical and chemical manufacturing hub — a 32km2 artificial island created by joining 7 smaller islands. Wilmar's Singapore headquarters coordinates CPO purchases from Indonesian and Malaysian mills, futures hedging on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives (BMD), and cargo scheduling for 500+ global manufacturing plants. Singapore's strategic location at the Malacca Strait exit gives Wilmar global logistics efficiency. A disruption to Wilmar's Jurong operations — given it processes ~45% of global palm oil — would have immediate global impact on palm oil refined product supply.
