Aluminothermic (Thermite) Rail Welding Consumables

Single-use exothermic welding "portions" (thermite charges), crucibles and moulds used to fuse rail ends into continuously welded rail (CWR) in the field. CWR eliminates jointed-rail expansion gaps and is required for high-speed and heavy-haul track. Global supply is led by Pandrol (Railtech brand) and Goldschmidt (formerly Elektro-Thermit / Orgo-Thermit).
