The Secretary of Defense must, as soon as possible, tell each person who fits the rules that they are no longer eligible for TRICARE and explain how they can sign up for Medicare Part B (42 U.S.C. 1395j et seq.). The Secretary must set up methods to find those people and work with the Secretary of Health and Human Services to accurately identify and notify them. People who must be notified are: a covered beneficiary (a person getting TRICARE benefits); someone entitled to Medicare Part A under section 226(b) or 226A of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 426(b) and 426–1); and someone who is eligible to enroll in Medicare Part B (42 U.S.C. 1395j et seq.).
